Darlene Miller

BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 89 year old Darlene M. Miller of Ogden, Iowa She passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Stratford Specialty Care in Stratford, Iowa.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, Sixth and Marshall Streets, Boone, Iowa.  Friends may call at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be at the United Brethren Cemetery, Polk City, Iowa.

Darlene was born June 30, 1932, in Polk City, the daughter of Delmar and Frances (Miller) Ware.  She was united in marriage to Price Miller on May 24, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri.  They made their home in Missouri, Illinois, and Polk City, before settling in Boone.   Darlene enjoyed crossword books, embroidering, watching tv, listening to country music and most of all, collecting teddy bears.

Darlene is survived by two sons, Ronald Miller and Orvale (Nancy) Miller; sister, Dorothy Robbins; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Price Miller; two sons, Charles Miller and Richard Miller, grandson, Logan Miller; brother, Edwin Ware; `two sisters, Lucille Perdue and Kathryn Smith; and daughter-in-law, Christina Miller.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone.  Online condolences may be left to Darlene’s family at www.schroedermemorial.com.
