DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service office in Des Moines is monitoring the potential for some very strong and gusty winds that will affect the state Wednesday. Weather models calling for very windy conditions Wednesday afternoon and evening. Wednesday is also expected to be a record setting day for high temperatures.
