OGDEN, Iowa—The Ogden City Council took formal action to establish and Urban Renewal Area along West Walnut Street. There are portions of three-blocks included and the area will serve as the base for a planned development agreement with Fareway which will be considered by the council in January.

January will also see several committee meetings for budgeting purposes, many in the first week of the month.

The Oath of Office was also given to incoming Mayor Mark Trueblood who will assume his duties on January 1st. Council member Brian Reimers and David Ohlson were both re-elected and also took their Oath of Office.

Council member and Mayor Pro Tem, Brian Reimers did present Mayor Denny Good with a Certificate of Appreciation for his two terms as the Ogden Mayor. Good did not seek re-election this year.
