Power outages throughout Boone County are causing some challenges. AM1590 is not on the air because our transmitter power, which is just south of the Speedway, is out due to the storm. However, KWBG programming is a available on 101.5 FM.

According to Alliant Energy, crews are on it. However, with extensive power outages not only in Boone County, but throughout the state, delays in restoring power should be expected.

In addition to the power challenges, Boone County residents are reporting downed branches, power poles and street lights.
