BOONE, Iowa—Yesterday was Heroes Day at the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad’s Santa Express trains. Many of the jobs aboard the train were covered by area Officers, EMS, Nurses, Military and similar professions that serve our communities everyday. Thank you to all of you for spending your day with us!
We had representatives volunteer from the following agencies: Iowa Army National Guard-Boone; Boone County Hospital; Boone County Search and Rescue; Boone County Sheriff’s Office (retired); Boone Police Department; DMACC Nursing Program; Des Moines Police Department; Iowa State Patrol; Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement; Mary Greeley Medical Center; Navy (Veteran);UnityPoint Health LifeFlight;
The Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad museum staff working today is associated with the following agencies: Boone Fire Department, Galva-Bishop Hill EMS (retired) and the Jefferson Fire Department.
