On Saturday, 24 Boone High School students performed in the District Large Group Speech Contest at Ankeny Centennial High. Because of the pandemic, it was their first in-person competition since March of 2020 and these Toreadors earned the highest rating of Division 1: Caitlin Alber, Jason Prazak, and Sierra Sherry in Ensemble Acting; as well as Alex Carpenter, Kaitlyn Chadourne, Collin Hollman, Allie Hunter, and Maddie Smith with technical support in One Act Play. All 8 now have two weeks to prepare for the state tournament February 5th at West Des Moines Valley.
