BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Diane Patrick, is announcing that a special election has been called for voters in the City of Boone and voters in The Southeast Webster Grand Community School District. The election will take place on March 1, 2022. For information about the public measures to be voted on, please visit the county’s website. For the City of Boone or for Southeast Webster – Grand School District or call the Auditor’s Office for a copy of a sample ballot. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. Voters in the City of Boone will vote at the Community Building at the Boone County Fairgrounds and voters in the SEW-G CSD will vote at the Pilot Mound Community Building in Pilot Mound.
The Boone County Auditor’s office is now accepting absentee ballot requests for voters who would like to have a ballot mailed to them. Ballots will be mailed beginning February 9th, 2022. Requests for Absentee Ballots to be mailed must be received in the Auditor’s Office by 5:00 PM on February 14th, 2022 in order for a ballot to be mailed. Absentee ballot requests can be found at the county website or can be mailed to voters who call the office at 515-433-0502.
In person Absentee voting begins in the Auditor’s Office on February 9th, 2022 and continues through February 28th, 2022 at 5:00 PM
