Boone FFA Advances Three Events to State

BOONE, Iowa—Members of the Boone A&M FFA Chapter at Boone High School competed in the North Central District FFA Leadership Career Development Events on Saturday, March 5 at Belmond High School.  The North Central FFA District is made up of nearly 40 FFA Chapters from north central Iowa.

Earning first or second place gold rating and advancing to state competition include:
– Ag Broadcasting: Chase Anderson
– Chapter Website: Megan Stern
– Job Interview: Bria Schwind
Additional events that qualified and competed at Districts:
– Ag Sales: Nathan Lynch, Bronze Rating
– Ag Issues: Jake Judge, Karli Herrstrom, Trysten Ward, Braxton Hanson, Beth Anderson, Maci Mosher – Silver Rating
– Creed Speaking: Mackenzie Sego, Bronze Rating
– Parliamentary Procedure: Trent Overturf, Ryan Franzenburg, Abbey Shaver, Josalyn Elmquist, Colby Naeve – Bronze Rating
State competitions for Iowa FFA Leadership CDEs will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Iowa State University in Ames with the top 12 individuals/teams from around the state competing.
The Boone A&M FFA Chapter is a student organization for agricultural science course students at Boone High School with over 100 members.  The mission of FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
