BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Community Foundation is planning a celebration presentation and announcement of their grantmaking awards and results. The event will be held at the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad Museum on Thursday, April 21 at 6:00 pm. Grant recipients and their Boards, elected officials and the general public are encouraged to attend.
The Endowment has been busy evaluating grant applications. 43 grant applications were received requesting $284,762. At the ceremony, 35 grants will be awarded totaling $160,815. These grants are anticipated to leverage another $6,898,506 in total project spending. The Boone County Community Foundation is actively seeking contributions and gifts to build the grantmaking capacity of the Endowment.
