Boone Municipal Band Announces 2022 Season, Wednesday Concerts Begin May 25th

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Municipal Band will begin its summer concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at Herman Park Pavilion in Boone. Concerts will be offered every Wednesday during the month of June with the Boone Big Band performing the concert on Wednesday, June 8.

During the month of July, a patriotic concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4. The Boone Municipal Band will play the final concert of the 30th annual Iowa Municipal Band Festival at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. The band will conclude its season on at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13.

The Boone Municipal Band, under the direction of Chris Truckenmiller, holds its concerts at Herman Park Pavilion in Boone. Concerts are free. Bring a lawn chair or use the bleacher seating or picnic tables to hear a great concert. An ice cream social will be held during concerts. Concerts are held rain or shine.

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 (big band)

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29

7:30 p.m. Monday, July 4 (patriotic)

6 p.m. Saturday, July 9 (Iowa Municipal Band Festival 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13
