Public Election Notice for Boone County Voters

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Diane Patrick has released the formal Public Announcement for the June 7th Primary Election in Boone County. The announcement will be published in local newspapers this week. KWBG is making the announcement available on our website:

 

NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION

JUNE 7, 2022 

 

Boone County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, Diane Patrick, hereby gives notice that there will be a PRIMARY ELECTION in Boone County, Iowa on June 7, 2022.  The Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m., as provided by law.

Optical Scan Equipment will be used to count the votes cast.  Public testing of all equipment was conducted at the courthouse on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

PLEASE NOTE:  POLLING LOCATIONS HAVE CHANGED BECAUSE OF REDISTRICTING FOLLOWING THE CENSUS.  ALL VOTERS SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A MAILING TELLING WHERE THEIR NEW POLLING LOCATION IS.  IF YOU ARE NOT CERTAIN, PLEASE CHECK THE AUDITOR’S WEBSITE AT arcg.is/e9GS5 OR CALL THE OFFICE AT 515-433-0502 TO VERIFY WHERE YOU SHOULD VOTE.

Any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle.  For further information, please contact the County Auditor’s office at 515-433-0502 or by email at boonecoaud@boonecounty.iowa.gov.  For TTY access, dial 711+ (515) 433-0502.

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot.  Voters who are not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote on election day – and voters who have moved must also provide proof of residence.  A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required) 1) may have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration Documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditor’s office by 12:00 noon on Monday, June 13th, 2022.  Election Day registrant attesters must provide an approved form of identification.  For additional information about providing proof of identity and/or residence visit: https://sos.iowa.gov/voterid or phone (515) 433-0502.
