Daniel West

KWBG 07/21/22

MADRID, Iowa—Daniel West, 32, passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2022. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, July 22, 2022, at Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid. Funeral Services will be held at 10am, Saturday, July 23 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Polk City. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Madrid. The funeral services will be live streamed for those unable to attend. Please go to the church website at www.polkcity.church.

Daniel was born on August 30, 1989, in Ames, Iowa to James and Judy West. He graduated from Madrid High School in 2008 and received his CNA training from Job Corps in Denison. His most recent employment was as a morning shift manager at McDonalds in Boone.

Daniel was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his pets. He also enjoyed playing card and video games and was an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Madrid Tigers, and Dallas Cowboys.

Daniel is survived by his parents, James and Judy West of Madrid; siblings, Brian (Cory) West of Deerfield, IL and Jessica Helmrichs (Wayne Thompson) of Glidden, IA; nephew, Ethan Helmrichs; nieces, Avery West and Reagan West; and his grandparents, Willard and Myrtle Sanders of Armstrong, MO. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Freeman and Violet West.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his family for a cause to be determined.
