BOONE, Iowa—Beverly June (Smith) Coffman, age 83 of Boone, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
Beverly was born the daughter of Roy and Freida (Binky) Smith on June 17, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Montebello High School in 1958 and then went on to beauty school.
Beverly was united in marriage with Jack Coffman on May 1, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA. The couple moved to Boone, IA in 1971. Bev worked at Hardee’s, Uncle Jack’s and McDonald’s in Boone.
Beverly enjoyed BINGO and all the friends she made. She used to breed Corgi puppies. Her top priority was spending time with her family and grandkids.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack in 2021; son-in-law, Jeff Smiley; and siblings. She is survived by her children, Dawn “Shelli” Smiley and Chuck Coffman (Elaine Schrunk) all of Boone; grandchildren, Aaron (Andrea) Smiley, Austin Smiley and Alyssa Smiley; great grandchildren, Jonathon, Ashlyn, Jenna, Lauryn, Cadyn and Ethan.
There will be no services held at this time. Inurnment will be in Linwood Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
