BOONE, Iowa—Offering a more intuitive navigation experience with streamlined departmental information and professional imagery, a new Boone County government website has been released for public use.
The website address is www.boonecounty.iowa.gov
Replacing a website that debuted twelve years ago, visitors today will find many new improvements, including:
· A brighter, more appealing color palette
· Local drone videos plus department head photos build viewer engagement
· Multiple navigation options to simplify searches for departments and services
· A new APPLY option delivers a full list of online applications, permits and forms
· An advanced SEARCH function eliminates “no matches found”
· Greatly simplified editing encourages regular updating by County staff
“One of the greatest advancements is optimization for today’s internet-connected smartphone and tablet platforms”, said website project coordinator and Boone County Supervisor, Erich Kretzinger. “Embracing this technology allows us to better meet the public where they are and how they need or want to explore our many resources.”
Developed by Neapolitan Labs, the new website greatly enhances the public’s access to their county government, while also saving Boone County taxpayers approximately $30,000 over the next five years when compared to the legacy website it replaces.
The public is encouraged to fully explore the new Boone County website and rely on it as the comprehensive one-stop resource it is designed to be.
