Sharon Kay Bahr

BEL AIRE, Kansas—Sharon Kay (Lemon) Bahr, 81, daughter of Kenneth and Helen Lemon, was born on April 29, 1941 in Webster City, IA. She passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, in Bel Aire, KS. There was a Celebration of Life Service last Friday, Feb. 17, at Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS.

Sharon graduated from Lincoln High School in June of 1959. On August 23, 1959, she married David Eugene Bahr in Webster City, Iowa. To this union, three children were born: Candace, Rodney, and Chadwick. The couple resided in Clarion, IA, and later moved to Story City, IA, Ames, IA, Derby, KS, Boone, IA, and ultimately Bel Aire, KS. Sharon was employed as a car dealership bookkeeper in Ames, Mulvane, and Wichita. She retired in 2007. Sharon enjoyed many hours of sewing, gardening, and baking. She especially liked decorating sugar cookies, making bon-bons, and keeping a fastidious house.

Those thankful for having shared in Sharon’s life include her children, Candace and Paul Noelck of Boone, IA, Rodney and Josie Bahr of Wichita, KS, and Chadwick and Carolyn Bahr of Southaven, MS; grandchildren, Adam and Katie Noelck and children, Otto and Marjorie of Park City, UT, Jessica Noelck and partner, Will Johnson of Madison, WI, Jason and Chantalle Noelck and children, Carter and Holden of Edmonds, WA, Abby Noelck of Coralville, IA, McKinley and Elias Bahr of Wichita, KS; step-grandchildren, Adam Hartley of Haysville, KS, and Heather and Justin Petit and son, Jerimiah of Gardner, KS; sisters-in-law, Janice Lemon of Fairmont, MN and Nancy Lemon of Ft. Dodge, IA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, David Eugene Bahr; parents, Kenneth and Helen Lemon; and brothers, Gerald Lemon and Ronnie Lemon.
