BOONE, Iowa—Patricia Sue Miller, age 76, of Boone, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Boone County Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at 6th and Marshall Streets in Boone. Burial will be at a later date.
Born on May 24, 1946 at the Boone County Hospital, Patricia was the daughter of Alva and Eva (Blackley) Moorman. She grew up in Boone and graduated from Boone High School in 1964.
She was united in marriage to Paul Miller on September 12, 1964 at the Assembly of God Church in Boone. They had nine children and Patricia was a homemaker, caring for the children.
Time with family was the most important thing to Patricia. She loved children and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had lunch with her sisters on the 1st Wednesday of each month. Patricia was known for her chicken and noodles. She enjoyed crocheting and doing word search puzzles in her free time. Patricia is survived by her husband, Paul of Boone; her children: Paul (Brenda) Miller of Ainsworth, Iowa, Alan (Sally) Miller of Boone, Andy (Lisa) Miller of Boone, Kandi Miller of Boone, Philip (Melissa) Miller of Boone, Kari (Rick) Murphy of Blue Earth, Minnesota, Kyle Miller (Lindsey Schmitz) of Boone and Alex Miller of Boone; a daughter-in-law, Patti Miller of Boone; eighteen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers: Vernon Moorman, Ronnie (Donna) Moorman, Jack (Betty) Moorman, Raymond Moorman, Denny Moorman; sisters: Joyce Elsberry, Janice (Ed) Swain, and Donna Myers; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Patrick “Pat” Miller; a grandson, Eric Miller; a daughter-in-law, Jessica Miller; a sister, Bev Weigel; brothers, Richard Moorman and Larry Moorman; a sisters-in-law: Gloria Moorman, Rosemary Moorman, and Diane Moorman; and a brother-in-law, Ray Elsberry.
