BOONE, Iowa—Arbor Day was recognized by the City of Boone last Friday. Boone Mayor John Slight issued a proclamation recognizing Arbor Day as April 28th in Boone and May as Arbor Month. This is the Mayoral Proclamation.
The Boone Park Board serves as the Boone City Tree Board. Amy Landus and Emily Coll of the Park Board conducted the ceremonial tree planting in front of the Boone City Hall.
