Pasture Management Course to be Offered in Boone County

BOONE, Iowa—Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, Boone County will host a Pasture Walk on June 8th, 2023 beginning at 6:00 PM. The walk will be located at the Rinker Farms cattle pasture, at the intersection of C Avenue and 250th st. This course will be facilitated by Meaghan Anderson, Extension Field Agronomist, and Dr. Chris Clark, Extension Beef Specialist.

The discussion will focus on rotational grazing, water sources, weed control, and other pasture management practices to help producers. All producers are encouraged to join ISU Extension and Outreach on the Pasture Walk. Discussion will likely be geared towards beef cattle production practices, but information that impacts all pastures will be shared.

There is no fee to attend this program! Please pre-register by June 5th. Exact location details will be provided to registered participants prior to June 8th.
