OGDEN, Iowa—Fire Friday afternoon destroyed a golf cart shed at the Don Williams Recreation Area north of Ogden. Multiple fire departments were at the scene supplying the Ogden Fire Department with manpower and hauling water to the site. The Boone County Communication Center reported the fire a few minutes after 4:00 Friday afternoon. Besides the Ogden Fire Department, Boone County Conservation personnel, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and the Boone County Hospital Ambulance service were sent to the scene. The additional fire departments responded to the mutual aid call. Because of the location, traffic had to be diverted from the area. Fire fighters were reportedly on the scene until early evening.
