BOONE, Iowa—This weeks information from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that virtually all of Iowa has some form of drought like conditions. The biggest share of the state is considered to be abnormally dry, but both Moderate and Severe Drought conditions have expanded. With the release of this week’s data, the state has been put back into the “Drought Watch” Category. Like other “watches and warnings”. It shows people that they should pay attention to conditions and be careful.
The Boone County Drought Condition has not changed in the past week. Over 99% of the county is abnormally dry. Moderate Drought clips the extreme northwest corner of the county.
