BOONE, Iowa—Boone Public Works has completed the installation of additional stop signs at the intersection of Hancock Drive and South Linn Street. Previously, there were stop signs on the north and south sides of the intersection but recent action by the Boone City Council has made that intersection a 4-way stop. The change was recommended by Boone Police Chief John Wiebold to the City Council’s Public Safety and Transportation Committee and is related directly to the new Ledges Early Childhood Center, slated to open in August.
