BOONE, Iowa—The weekly release of information about drought conditions in Iowa has shown a steady increase in drought intensity across Iowa. Central Iowa did hold on to it’s Abnormally Dry condition and that does include Boone County. Moderate Drought conditions now cover over half the state. Severe Drought conditions have increased and there’s been expansion of Extreme Drought conditions, especially in southeast Iowa.
