DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service released the most recent map for drought conditions in Iowa, as of Tuesday. The conditions have declined extensively, especially in northeast Iowa. Over 99% of the state is either Abnormally Dry or in some level of drought. Boone County continues to hang on to Abnormally Dry conditions, but that will change without any precipitation. The forecast has a slight chance on Tuesday.
The U.S. Drought Monitor Map is released weekly and is prepared by the NDMC, NOAA and USDA.
