DES MOINES, Iowa—The weekly U.S. Drought Monitor Map for Tuesday shows drought conditions continued to expand in the past week. Extreme Drought is expanding in North Central and North East Iowa. Severe Drought has also expanded and now covers a substantial portion of Boone County. After several weeks of Abnormally Dry conditions, mapping showed Moderate Drought last week. This week, only the Northeast Corner of the County has Moderate Drought conditions.
