DES MOINES, Iowa—The weekly U.S. Drought Monitor map, released last Tuesday showed some minor changes in drought conditions in Iowa, but no apparent changes locally. The map, released by the National Weather Service Thursday had a slight decline in the amount of the state that was Abnormally Dry and a slight increase in the area for Moderate Drought.
Locally, Boone County remained about two-thirds with Moderate Drought and the remaining third with Severe Drought.
