BOONE, Iowa—In what has turned out to be be a closely contested election to the Boone Park Board. David Sherry and Susan Thorngren are the apparent top two vote getters. Two Park Commissioner seats were up and five candidates were on the ballot.
The unofficial results have Sherry with 1,076 votes, Thorngren with 943, followed closely by Marsha Moorman with 931, Alex Grimes with 926 and Sarah Nizzi with 542.
The canvas of the election results will be held next week by the Boone County Supervisors.
