BOONE, Iowa—Ryan Huffman was sworn in Monday as the newest addition to the Boone School Board. Huffman was selected by the current board members to fill the vacancy created with Dr. Brian Mehlhaus resigned from the board in mid-January. Huffman and two other candidates were interviewed by the current board at a special meeting, February 5th. He was sworn in by Board Secretary Paulette Newbold at the beginning of the regular board meeting Monday. Huffman is a 2007 graduate of Boone High School.
