DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service office in Des Moines is preparing for Severe Summer Weather this week. Multiple rounds of severe weather are expected this weekend. All modes of severe weather, including large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and heavy rainfall are possible at times. The initial rounds of severe weather arrive throughout the day Friday. Additional rounds of severe weather are possible Saturday and Sunday with rounds of heavy rainfall overnight in between.
