DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service office in Des Moines has provided updated information about the potential severe weather that is expected to move through the state this evening. Severe thunderstorms, with damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes the main threats. Heavy rain is also possible. Greatest threat across the southwestern half of Iowa.
