BOONE, Iowa—Samantha Tilley, 38, of Boone passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer at home.
Samantha’s family is inviting the public to a Celebration of her Life at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2024, in McHose Park, 1215 Francis Mason Drive, Boone.
Samantha was born August 21, 1985, in Boone, the daughter of Robby and Debra (Baird) Tilley. She attended school in Boone and graduated from Boone High School in 2004.
Samantha was most proud of her sons, Richard and Hunter. She enjoyed time with her boyfriend, Tony Cue, and his children, George, Brandon and Rose. Samantha loved taking all the kids to the park and on little adventures.
Samantha’s interests included fishing, camping, photography, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, LaVaune and Richard Tilley; maternal grandparents, MaryAnn and Lloyd Baird; paternal great-grandparents, Bernadine and George Parker, and Grace and Joe Tilley; maternal great-grandfather, Lester Miller; two aunts, Christine Ruby and Leeanna Tilley; two uncles, Russell Tilley and Raymond Tilley; and two cousins, Sarah Tilley and Trisha Tilley.
Samantha is survived by her parents, Robby and Debra Tilley of Boone; two sons, Richard Tilley and Hunter Tilley both of Boone; boyfriend, Tony Cue and his children, George Cue, Brandon Cue and Rose Cue all of Boone; three brothers, Nathan Tilley of Grant, Michigan, Dana Tilley of Boone and Richard Tilley (Amanda Risius) of Boone; uncle, Rodney (Cheryl) Tilley of Eagle Grove; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
