Boone City Council Considering Bids for Utility Projects, Naming Rec Director

Posted on 15 July 2024 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council will be holding their regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the Boone City hall and will give consideration to a couple of utility projects. One is the Lime Slaker Replacement Project. WRH, Inc. of Amana is the apparent low bid of more than $659,000 about $73,000 over the engineers estimate. Another would be a roofing project at both the Water Environment Station in McHose Park and the Water Works Plant northwest of Boone. That total bid from Black Hawk Roof Company from Waterloo is over a million dollars.

The Rec Director position is being filled following interviews with multiple candidates in June.
