BOONE, Iowa—Cameron J. Neubauer, 31, of Boone and formerly of Ankeny, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home.

Cremation has taken place, following Cam’s wishes.  A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.

Cam was born December 1, 1992, in Boone, the son of Dan and Nikki (Butterbaugh) Neubauer.  He attended school in Ankeny and graduated from Ankeny High School in 2011.

Cam explored many different areas of employment and recently was working at the Fareway Warehouse in Boone.  He was a big movie buff, especially sci-fi, Marvel, Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings.  Cam listened to and watched different comedians on podcasts and videos.  He had a sarcastic sense of humor, which was almost comedic, and never heard of a rule he didn’t want to break.  Cam enjoyed spending time and playing with his dog, Theo.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rosalie Neubauer; his maternal and paternal great-grandparents; and an aunt, Denise Neubauer.

Cam is survived by his parents, Dan and Nikki Neubauer; sister, Emily (Ryan) Sheffer; brother, Mitchell Neubauer; niece, Skylar Sheffer; paternal grandfather, Dennis Neubauer; maternal grandparents, Vern and Betty Butterbaugh; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his best four-legged friend, Theo. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone.  Online condolences may be left to Cam’s family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com.
