DES MOINES, Iowa—Very little appreciable rain fall has occurred in Iowa since early August and the most recent map from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows Abnormally Dry conditions covering about two-thirds of Iowa. A week ago, much of Central Iowa, including Boone County, was not included in the Abnormally Dry coverage. The upside is that there are no drought conditions reported at this time.
