Ogden volleyball starts slow, falls to Des Moines Christian

The Ogden volleyball team could not overcome a slow start as it lost to Des Moines Christian in West Central Conference action, 5-25, 18-25, 11-25 Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Des Moines.

The Ogden volleyball team could not overcome a slow start as it lost to Des Moines Christian in West Central Conference action, 5-25, 18-25, 11-25 Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Des Moines. 

Sophomore Olivia Coleman led the Bulldogs with 7 assists, and sophomore Macy Bristle had 3 kills. 

Senior Katelyn Ryan went 6 for 6 serving. Senior Taydem Graden, Bristle and junior Aubrey Leonard all had 1 ace serve. 

Leonard paced the defense with 12 digs. 

The loss pulls Odgen to 1-3 in the conference and 2-9 overall. Des Moines Christian improves to 4-0 in the conference and 10-5 overall. 

Next week, the Bulldogs host West Central Valley for senior night at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
