BOONE, Iowa—Nearly half the votes cast in the General Election in Boone County Tuesday were absentee ballots, just over 7,000. The Auditor’s Office had a team start working on tabulating those ballots Tuesday morning and they were finally able to get done right before 10:00 p.m. Total voter turn out was just over 76% which is typical for a Presidential Election in Boone County. Boone County voters supported the Republican ticket support Donald Trump and JD Vance, Congressman Randy Feenstra, State Senator Jesse Green, Republic Candidate Chad Behn for House District 48 and Supervisors Candidates Erich Kretzinger and Scott Longhorn. Republican Auditor Diane Patrick and Sheriff Andy Godzicki were running unopposed.
