The Boone boys’ basketball team was victorious over Raccoon River Conference opponent Carroll, 65-55, Tuesday, December 17, at Boone.
The Tigers had a 3-point lead after the 1st quarter, 19-16, and continued to be up by 3 at the half, 30-27.
However, the Toreadors scored 20 points to Carroll’s 11 in the 3rd quarter and were up by 6 at the end of the 3rd quarter, 47-41.
Boone finished strong and the final score was 65-55.
Braden Brooks led all scorers with 25 points.
Reid Carr contributed 14 points while Jude Baumgardner had 11.
Boone improved its record to 3-2 overall and is 1-2 in the conference.
Carroll falls to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Boone will host Perry (5-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, at Boone.
