BOONE, Iowa—Sue Bishop, 82, of Boone, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Alphia Sue Bishop was born to Hubert and Helen (Cooper) Helderman on December 17, 1942 in East Chicago, Indiana. Most of her years growing up were spent in International Falls, MN, along with her six siblings (Budde, Allan, Katherine, Gordon, Ronald, William, and Garrold).

Sue enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making crafts, baking, and she had a wonderful sense of humor to the very end.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herb and daughter, Debi. She is survived by her four other children: Herbie of Boone, IA; Jody of New Virginia, IA; Tammy (Martin) of San Luis Obispo, CA; Shelli of West Des Moines, IA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
