The Ogden boys’ basketball team fell to Class 1A, No. 5, Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 73-46, Tuesday, January 21, in Ogden in conference play.
The Bulldogs were only down by 1 at the end of the 1st quarter, 9-8, and were down by 4, 31-27, at the half, but the Chargers pulled away in the second half and won the game, 73-46.
Brayden Miller led the Bulldogs with 11 points on 4 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 2 free throws.
Tanner Rohe had 10 points on 4 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 1 free throw while Jase Coleman also had 10 points on 4 field goals and 2 free throws.
Rohe had 6 assists while Brady Van Sickle had 3.
For the defense, Rohe had 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Jordan Benjamin had 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal while Coleman grabbed 4 rebounds and 1 steal.
Ogden fell to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the conference while ACGC improved to 11-1 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
The Ogden girls’ basketball team fell to ACGC, 57-7, earlier in the evening.
Ogden will face Woodward-Granger (5-10 overall, 1-7 conference) with the girls’ game at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 24, at Woodward.
The Hawks narrowly defeated the Bulldogs, 64-62, when the boys played last month.
