The Madrid girls’ basketball team fell to Earlham, 46-33, Friday, January 31, in Madrid in conference action.
The Tigers were up, 10-8, at the end of the 1st quarter, and the Cardinals took the lead, 21-18, at the half.
Earlham continued to be up, 32-26, at the end of the 3rd quarter and won the game, 46-33.
Laura Eagleton led Madrid with 14 points on 5 field goals and 4 free throws.
Jillian Olmstead had 10 points on 3 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 3 free throws while Lauren Dvorak had 6 points on 1 field goal and 4 free throws.
For the defense, Dvorak had 11 rebounds, 1 block and 2 steals while Eagleton had 6 rebounds and Olmstead had 3.
Madrid fell to 5-13 overall and 1-11 in the conference.
Earlham improved to 8-9 overall and 5-6 in the conference.
Madrid will travel to Ogden (1-17 overall, 0-12 conference) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
