The #2 Madrid Tigers Boys Basketball team used some “Toryn Magic” and advanced to the 1A State Title Game with a 71-58 win over #4 Fort Dodge St Edmond Thursday Night. The Tigers held the lead 34-26 at halftime and clamped down defensively only giving up 32 second half points en route to their 27th win of the year, against 0 defeats. Madrid was led again by Toryn Severson who chipped in 32 points including 6 from behind the arc. Jevyn Severson had 11pts, Brody Buck, 11pts and Emerson Bridgewater also with 11. The Tigers will take on #1 ranked Marquette Catholic for the 1A State Title Friday night at 7pm. The Tigers are looking for their first ever Boys State Basketball Title.
