BOONE, Iowa—Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity has announced the ground breaking for the next home build. The public is invited to attend the ground breaking ceremony for Brett and Daniele Schmidt’s new home at 1115 College St in Boone.
As with all Habitat for Humanity partner families, the Schmidt’s will pay for their home through a zero-interest mortgage. Their affordable monthly payments will help provide the same opportunity for additional partner families in coming years.
Healthy, efficient and affordable housing was something the Schmidt family couldn’t even imagine a few months ago. Through the efforts of local Habitat volunteers and financial supporters, their dream is closer to reality.
The entire community is invited to celebrate with the Schmidt family by attending the ground breaking of their new family home on Sunday, April 27, 3:30 p.m. at 1115 College St in Boone.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard and poverty housing. All persons are welcome as partner families and volunteers regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations.
