BOONE, Iowa—Robert (Bob) C. Williams, 78, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Hearth Stone Memory Care Unit, Boone, Iowa.

Bob was born to James and Hazel (Miller) Williams on February 5, 1947, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Boone High School in 1965.

He was united in marriage to Kathleen K. Flynn on December 7, 1974, at the First United Methodist Church in Boone. They made their home in Boone for their 50 years of marriage.

He was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion in Boone. He had a passion for snowmobiling, stock car racing, working on automobiles, reading “ Time Life World War II” books and family vacations at the lake.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Williams; father-in-law, Lyle Flynn; mother-in-law, Alice Flynn; brother, David Williams; and grandson, Michael Williams.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen; three sons, Mike (Shari) Williams of Boone, Chris (Angie) Williams of Boone, Kelly (Amie) Williams of Boone and five grandchildren; Kelsey (AJ), Kayla, Katelyn, Pyper and Tenley Williams.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hearth Stone Memory Care Unit for their compassionate and dedicated care of Bob.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 – 6th Street, Boone. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Friday, April 25 2025, at Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the family to use at their discretion.

The Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Street is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com.
