The Boone baseball team improved to 2-0 on the year with a 6–1 victory over Norwalk Thursday, May 22, at Norwalk.
Boone’s offense came alive in the middle innings, scoring two runs in the third, three in the fifth, and one more in the sixth.
The Toreadors scored six runs on six singles.
The hits were evenly distributed across the lineup, with Noah Davies, Dylan England, Tyler Lindahl, Tate Carlson, Cole Bowers and Drew Hayworth each collecting one hit.
Carlson and Lindahl led the way with two RBIs apiece, while Hayworth added another.
On the mound, Lindahl threw a complete game and earned the win.
He held Norwalk to just one run, which came in the sixth inning.
Boone hosts Clear Lake (2-0) tonight at 7:30 p.m. in its home opener at Memorial Park.
