Christopher Breon

KWBG 05/30/25

BOONE, Iowa—Christopher Frank Breon, 59, of Boone, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Chris was born on October 17, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa, the eldest son of Frank and Carole Breon. Known for his generous spirit and strong work ethic, Chris was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a deep love for motorcycles—especially Harley-Davidsons—and enjoyed spending time tinkering in his garage.

Chris dedicated much of his life to construction, a career that eventually led him to start his own company. Even during the off-season, he stayed busy by taking on odd jobs. Above all, Chris cherished time with his family. He loved hosting gatherings, grilling out, and sharing meals with those he loved. He especially enjoyed being a grandfather and creating memories with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Breon; his mother, Carole Hinton; his brother, Scott Breon; his grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kim; sons, Alex Breon, Michael (Hope) Rand, and Kevin (Jennifer) Merk; and grandchildren, Kyrie, Lexis, and Rylie Rand. He is also survived by his siblings, Tim (Stacey) Breon, John (Tara) Breon, Max Breon, Joe Breon, Larry (Annie) Breon, and sister, Carole Rose and her husband.

He leaves behind a large extended family, including Aunt Wilda Jensen; sister-in-law, Linda (Jeff) Kriegel; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Catherine) Ingram, Brian (Mary) Ingram, and Mark (Mel) Ingram.

Chris also had a cherished bonus family: sister, Alice Clemons; Antorniece (Aaron), Alexis, and Anastasia; bonus daughter, Anadia (Michael); and bonus grandchildren, Ava Rose, Aphrodite, Alanna, Romeo Jr., and Ryder. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Suncrest Hospice for their compassionate care.

Chris was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Chris’ family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com
