John Roosa, Administrator, Boone County Landfill and Recycling. Roosa talks about a setback in efforts to redirect construction and demolition waste for Ames and Story County to Metro Waste. The agreement ends the end of June and it appears the material will once again come to the Boone County Landfill, slowing the county’s efforts to extend the landfill life. It’s an issue still be worked on. Roosa also talked about the upcoming increase in the rate per ton on July 1st. Aired Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
