The Ogden baseball team edged out Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 6-4, in a West Central Conference matchup Tuesday, June 17, at Guthrie Center.

Ogden struck early and often, plating single runs in the first, second, fifth, and sixth innings before adding two crucial insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

Colson Carson was dominant on the mound, striking out seven and going the distance to earn the win.

He also contributed at the plate with a hit and an RBI.

Keagan Ristvedt led the Bulldogs offensively, collecting two hits, scoring once, driving in a run, and swiping a base.

Tanner Rohe added a hit, an RBI, and a stolen base, while Bek Anderson chipped in with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored.

Treyton Mitchell, Brody Burdette, and Christian Thede each had a hit and crossed the plate once.

ACGC made things interesting with a three-run third inning and added one more in the bottom of the seventh, but Ogden’s early lead and late insurance runs held up.

With the win, Ogden improves to 8-11 overall and 5-7 in conference play.

ACGC drops to 6-7 overall and 3-6 in the West Central Conference.

The Bulldogs will host Van Meter (14-5, 6-3) in conference doubleheader Thursday, June 19, with games scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m. in Ogden.
