The Boone softball team came up short Thursday, June 19, in a 10-6 non-conference loss to Class 5A No. 15-ranked Indianola at Gary Creasman Field.
Brooke Weisbrod was unstoppable at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored.
Carly Busch also had a solid night, collecting two hits and scoring twice.
She pitched a complete game in the circle, striking out three.
Avery Howie added two hits and drove in a run, while Shannon Jenkins chipped in with a hit and a run scored.
Claire Hardinger and Sydney Adams each added a hit, and Hailee Bingham crossed the plate once for Boone.
Indianola improved to 13-8 while Boone fell to 11-8,
The Toreadors will look to bounce back quickly as they travel to Woodward tonight for a matchup against Woodward-Granger.
First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
