The Ogden softball team held off West Central Valley for an 8-7 win, finishing a West Central Conference game suspended earlier in the week due to rain Friday, June 20, at home.
The Bulldogs’ offense was led by Sophie Seligman, who had four hits, two runs scored, and two stolen bases.
Clara Kruse and Adi Banks each drove in two runs, with Kruse collecting two hits and Banks adding a pair of hits and a run scored.
Aubrey Leonard also had a strong showing at the plate with a run and an RBI.
Harleigh Janssen contributed a hit and two RBIs, while Breaunna Wenger, Lauren Mathers, and Grace Christensen each added a hit and a run scored to round out a balanced offensive effort.
In the circle, Katie Wilcoxson went the distance, striking out three and securing the win.
With the victory, Ogden improves to 10-11 overall and 6-8 in conference play, while West Central Valley drops to 10-9 overall and 6-6 in the conference.
Ogden now turns its attention to home doubleheader tonight against Woodward-Granger (13-7 overall, 7-5 conference), weather permitting.
