The Ogden softball team opened the weekend with a solid 10-5 home non-conference win over Glidden-Ralston Friday, June 27.
The Bulldogs scored in four of five innings, including a 5-run fifth to pull away.
Breaunna Wenger sparked the offense with 2 hits, a run, an RBI, and a stolen base.
Sophie Seligman drove in two runs, and Harleigh Janssen and Camryn Askelsen each added key RBIs.
On the mound, Katie Wilcoxson went the distance, striking out four to earn the win.
Ogden 12, South Hamilton 2
Ogden carried its momentum into the South Hamilton Tournament Saturday, June 28, picking up two more wins
In Game 1, the Bulldogs rolled past host South Hamilton 12-2.
Wenger continued her standout weekend with 2 hits, 3 RBIs, a double, and 2 stolen bases.
Janssen added 2 RBIs, and Wilcoxson struck out five in relief to secure the win.
Ogden 10, Southeast Valley 8
Game 2 was a back-and-forth battle, but Ogden outlasted Southeast Valley 10-8 in extra innings.
The Bulldogs scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to seal the victory.
Wenger again led the way with 3 hits and 2 runs scored.
Seligman, Askelsen, and Grace Christensen each contributed a hit, run, and RBI, while Lauren Mathews added 2 hits and an RBI.
Wilcoxson pitched a complete game, striking out two in the win.
Ogden now sits at 16-11 overall and 9-8 in the West Central Conference.
They’ll look to keep the streak alive tonight as they host Panorama (6-18 overall, 2-14 conference) in a conference matchup at 7 p.m.
