DES MOINES, Iowa—The rain across Iowa the last week in June caused rivers and streams to rise and reduced the Abnormally Dry and Moderate Drought conditions across the state. Abnormally Dry conditions are reported in just over 38% of the state. Moderate Drought conditions were reported at just under 9% a week ago and this week were reported in less than 5% of the state. Locally Boone County is now 100% drought free.
